After writing my MA dissertation on the barriers to developing and maintaining community gardens by local levels of deprivation, I set up North Wingfield Community Garden in early 2021. Located on an acre of land in a former mining village, we have developed from two volunteers to a dedicated group with big ambitions to grow. As well as working at NWCG, I also work with businesses and not-for-profit organisations to develop sustainability behaviour change initiatives with a nature-based focus.
